BISCAYNE ENGINEERING WELCOMES GEOINFORMATICS STUDENTS FROM AALTO UNIVERSITY IN FINLAND!

Miami, Florida – September 30, 2014 – Biscayne Engineering Company proudly welcomes the Poligoni Geoinformatics club, a Geomatics student group all the way from Aalto University near Helsinki, Finland!

The international visitors (pictured wearing the traditional caps awarded to upper class Poligoni students in Finland) were hosted by Biscayne Engineering for the afternoon before ending the day at an FSMS meeting at the University of Florida Fort Lauderdale campus.

The itinerary included a guided tour of downtown Miami on the elevated metromover featuring several stops at Biscayne Engineering project sites. The tour ended at Biscayne’s offices and allowed the students to learn about how surveying and geomatics are practiced professionally in the United States.

The tour concluded with a presentation and an engaging discussion led by recent UF Geomatics graduate and BEC team member Alberto Rabionet. The exchange of information and cultures provided for a memorable experience and offered new perspectives that will surely benefit all parties involved.
