Muss Park contained a small pavilion. With the after school and summer recess activities at the school, the pavilion was too small to support the activities. The City of Miami Beach decided it was time to demolish the pavilion and construct a new, larger air conditioned pavilion with restrooms to host these activities. The scope included a new fenced in playground and other amenities which ultimately resulted in the reconstruction of about half the park. Biscayne Engineering Company served as the civil engineer for the project which included the site work, utilities and improvements to the parking lot.
